Nurlykhan Aljanova is a Research Fellow and Deputy Director at Nazarbayev University Research Centre for Entrepreneurship (NURCE). Her research work is specialized in decolonization process, preserving cultural values within women's entrepreneurial activities. She is currently on sabbatical at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where she served as the Deputy Head of Science and International Cooperation and as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies. With expertise in Identity Reconstruction, Women Entrepreneurship, Cultural Entrepreneurship, Organizational Culture, and Religious Studies, her recent paper delves into the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan, emphasizing the role of government policies and regional support.

Nurlykhan's paper on 'Decolonizing Feminist Knowledge: 'The Modern Woman' in Kazakh Influencer Culture' examining women's identity in Kazakhstan won three awards at the Academy of Management Annual Conference 2023 in Boston, USA. Her ongoing research explores the interplay between national identity projects and organizational identity reconstruction, focusing on the Kazakh State Circus as a case study in post-independence Kazakhstan. She is an Editorial Board Member of the Eurasian Journal of Religious Studies, Bulletin of Indonesian Islamic Studies, Secretary of the High Qualification Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Nurlykhan had research internships and served as visiting professor at Madrid Complutense University within project One Asia Foundation. The One Asia Community in Cross-cultural dialogue with Europe II.
