EmpowerHER Women Entrepreneurs Networking Forum 2024: Fostering Leadership and Collaboration
On December 12, 2024, the EmpowerHER Women Entrepreneurs Networking Forum brought together a diverse group of women entrepreneurs, government representatives, NGOs, and associations at Nazarbayev University in Astana. Held in the Green Hall of Block C2, the forum celebrated women’s entrepreneurial journeys and explored strategies for empowering women in traditionally male-dominated sectors.
The event kicked off with a welcome coffee and registration, followed by opening remarks from esteemed leaders, including Aizhan Bizhanova, First Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration, and Waqar Ahmad, President of Nazarbayev University. Distinguished speakers also included Nurlan Kulbatyrov from QazTrade, Svetlana Golovatskaya of USAID Central Asia, and Shumaila Yousafzai, Director of NURCE. A special highlight was the presentation of The Narratives of Kazakhstani Women Entrepreneurs in Male-Dominated Sectors by Indira Alibayeva and Emina Yessekeyeva.
The forum’s centerpiece was the panel discussion Empowered Journeys: Women Leading the Way in Male-Dominated Sectors. Esteemed speakers such as Saltanat Adambayeva, Yekaterina Mishenko, and Olga Tleuzhanova shared insights into breaking barriers and thriving in challenging industries. Entrepreneurs like Dinara Bilyalova, Madina Anet, and Samal Tolengutova highlighted their innovative approaches to business and sustainability.
The event underscored the power of collaboration, mentorship, and leadership in driving gender equity in entrepreneurship. With inspiring stories and actionable ideas, EmpowerHER 2024 ignited a spark for continued growth and success among Kazakhstan’s women entrepreneurs.
