Nazarbayev University Research Centre for Entrepreneurship (NURCE) successfully organized its inaugural research methods workshop, focusing on the narrative approach in qualitative research methods. The workshop aimed to delve into the foundational principles of narrative-informed research and its application in the field.
The event featured insights from eight speakers, including Dr. Shumaila Yousafzai, Director of NURCE; Wojdan Omran, Assistant Professor at Queen's University Belfast; and Dr. Philipp Schroeder, Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology and Sociology at NU. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to learn from Eva Lennartz, a PhD student at Nazarbayev University; Amina Chaia, a Master's student at GSPP; and Dr. Yelena Muzykina, a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at NURCE.
The workshop provided attendees with valuable perspectives and practical knowledge for conducting narrative-based research, enriching their understanding and application of qualitative methodologies in academic and professional contexts.
