Dr. Shandana Sheikh

Researcher in Women Entrepreneurship
Shandana is a researcher in Women Entrepreneurship, with a special focus on women entrepreneurs in developing economies. Shandana attained a Masters degree in Marketing from the University of Warwick, UK in 2012. Thereafter, Shandana completed her PhD in Entrepreneurship from Cardiff University in 2020. Her doctoral research explored the multiple dimensions of value in women entrepreneurship in Pakistan. Upon culmination of her doctorate degree, Shandana moved back to her hometown in Pakistan where she manages her health care family business and seeks to support and facilitate medical students to explore entrepreneurial opportunities to better manage their work-balance in a conservative country like Pakistan. Simultaneously, Shandana persues her passion to research on various aspects of entrepreneurship including entrepreneurship undertaken by differently abled individuals and transgender entrepreneurship.
