Dr. Yelena V. Muzykina

Research Assistant
Dr. Yelena Muzykina is currently a fellow at the Center of Postnormal Policies and Futures Studies and a trainer at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan. She is a certified futurist and also holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a Candidate of Science in Social Philosophy from the People's Friendship University of Russia, a Master's degree in Cross-Cultural Studies from Andrews University (USA), and a few degrees in History, English, Economy, and Theology. Yelena worked as Assistant Director at Qazaq Research Centre for Futures Studies, responsible for research, business development, and education. Her academic interests focus primarily on Futures Studies and Foresight as well as Postnormal Times, Sociology, Comparative Studies, and Theology.

Yelena has gained ample experience in various fields, such as banking, private and international business, trade, and bidding. For the last 20 years, her work has been directly linked with Humanities and Social Science. She has published over 50 articles in English and Russian on different topics of her research interests and some chapters in books and volumes.

Yelena has published many articles and chapters in Russian and English books on various aspects of futures studies, state-religion policy, and the Islamic economy. Also, Yelena does much translation of different materials for seminars, training, and educational programs. Furthermore, she extends this activity to cooperation with international publishing houses that publish her books’ translations on modern philosophy and contemporary socio-cultural trends. Dr. Yelena is a reviewer of the Journal of Futures Studies (Scopus List), and a co-Editor of World Futures Review: A Journal of Strategic Foresight.
