Zhansaule holds a bachelor’s degree in “Economics and business” from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and earned her master’s degree in “Eurasian Studies” from Nazarbayev University. In her master’s thesis, she focused on suitcase trade and women entrepreneurship of post Soviet Kazakhstan. Her main research interests are bazaar activities, informal economy, gender, women entrepreneurship, women in business and labour migration. For the last two years she worked in project management at Nazarbayev University.
