Zhuldyz Zhumashova holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and a Master's degree in Translation Studies from Ablay khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.

Her research focuses on the Central Asian Culture, Semiotics, Cultural anthropology, Teaching Second Language, Acquisition of Second Language, Number’s Cultural History, Interrelation of Language and Culture, Ethnic Culture, Turkic Culture etc.

She is the owner of the National Award «The best Teacher of Kazakhstan-2022». Zhuldyz translated several textbooks from English to Kazakh and works as remote translator for National Geographic Kazakhstan.
