"Abai’s Philosophy and Business Management" Training Held at Nazarbayev University
From May 1–3, a transformative training program titled "Abai’s Philosophy and Business Management" took place at Nazarbayev University in Astana. The program was developed by the Nazarbayev University Research Center for Entrepreneurship (NURCE) in collaboration with the Association of Business Trainers.
The course brought together owners of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as entrepreneurs with disabilities— all united by a desire to grow not only their businesses but also themselves as individuals.
Tolyk Adam: The Entrepreneur as a Whole Person
The central theme of the program was the “Tolyk Adam” philosophy — a concept of holistic self-development championed by Abai Kunanbayev, emphasizing the integration of mind, will, and heart. Participants explored how these inner qualities can serve as the foundation for sustainable and meaningful entrepreneurship.
Each day focused on one key element:
- Heart: values-based leadership, empathy, and ethical decision-making
- Mind: strategic thinking, knowledge, and innovation
- Will: turning ideas into action, overcoming challenges, and building resilience
Practice, Awareness, and Inspiration
The program featured interactive seminars, business simulations, real-world case studies, and networking with experienced mentors. It encouraged participants to apply Abai’s philosophical insights to modern entrepreneurial contexts.
Attendees highlighted that the training offered not only practical business tools but also a fresh perspective on entrepreneurship — viewing it as a path of personal growth, resilience, and responsibility.
