Tamyr Reflections Being Delivered to Their Heroes


During a series of meetings held in Almaty from November 15th to 19th, Alua Nurbay had the privilege of presenting the NURCE book, Tamyr Reflections, to several participants whose inspiring narratives were featured within the publication. Their enthusiastic reactions underscored the book's profound resonance and exceptional quality, leaving the recipients both pleasantly surprised and deeply moved.

Social Entrepreneur: Jamilya Turumkhozhayeva

Jamilya, a mother of six and a social entrepreneur, was profoundly honored to be part of the book. Her story exemplifies strong leadership and the ability to unite her family around a shared vision. As the founder of an atelier specializing in children’s clothing, she creates stunning Kazakh-style outfits for children ranging from toddlers to high school students. Jamilya expressed gratitude for being chosen and praised the book's quality and impact.

Boxer and Entrepreneur: Aidos Yerbossynuly

Aidos, a six-time Asian champion and titleholder with WBC, WBO Global, and WBA International, was thrilled to be featured in the book. As the founder of a sportswear brand that incorporates traditional Kazakh elements, he described Tamyr Reflections as a "worldwide book." He even showcased the publication in a video on his Instagram account, which boasts 346,000 followers, expressing pride in his participation.

Alua Nurbay also met with key figures in Kazakhstan’s film industry, including Askar Bissenbin, Akyl Doszhanov, Olzhas Nurbay, and Rinat Safarov. Akyl and Olzhas, whose narratives are included in the book, proudly showcased it during the meeting. Askar, impressed by the publication, jokingly asked why he wasn’t included, and I promised to feature him in future projects.

Restaurateur: Kurmanbek Magzhanuly

Kurmanbek, the owner of the Sybaga restaurant, was another proud recipient of the book. His restaurant, which opened in September, specializes in traditional meat dishes based on ancient Kazakh recipes. An ethnic Kazakh who returned from China 20 years ago, Kurmanbek has revived lost culinary traditions. He honored the book by featuring it on the official Instagram page of his restaurant, which has over 20,000 followers.

Music Producer: Erlan Alimov

Erlan, a well-known music producer and co-producer of Asyl Tobi—as well as a producer for Ali Okapov, Ziruza, and other prominent Kazakh musicians—was impressed by the book’s content and cultural value.

Animator: Dastan Kishkentayev

Dastan, a 3D cartoon animator, shared how the book motivated him to persevere in his work despite the challenges of producing children’s cartoons in Kazakhstan—a field that remains overlooked but is essential. He expressed deep appreciation for being included in such a meaningful project.

Akerkin Eraliyeva, Deputy Director of the Almaty Chamber of Entrepreneurs

Akerkin emphasized the importance of the book in promoting women in business, a cause that aligns closely with the Chamber’s priorities.
