Ayazhan Temirbolat, a second-year Sociology student at Nazarbayev University, brings a deep passion for research that began in high school and continues to evolve at the intersection of society, business, and sustainability. Currently engaged in a project on IT and green entrepreneurship, she is particularly focused on exploring how technological innovations can promote responsible business practices and drive meaningful social change. At NURCE, Ayazhan is deepening her understanding of how anthropological research can be applied to real-world contexts to inform both policy and entrepreneurial strategies. Her interdisciplinary curiosity and commitment to impact-driven research make her a valuable part of the community.

Aitolkyn joins NURCE as a research assistant on Professor Schroeder’s project on IT and green entrepreneurship. She is pursuing a master’s degree in Public Policy at the Graduate School of Public Policy, Nazarbayev University, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from NU. Her involvement in research projects within the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, combined with internships at various governmental institutions, has allowed her to bridge academic theory with real-world applications, enhancing her analytical and policy-oriented skills. With a recent academic focus on sustainable development, Aitolkyn’s interest in the intersection of technology, business, and sustainability strengthens the green entrepreneurship research team. Her insights and dedication promise to make meaningful contributions to NURCE’s work.
