Professor Rana Zayadin from Sussex University Business School is actively collaborating with Professor Yousafzai on multiple research projects focused on sustainable development and inclusive entrepreneurship. Together, they are leading grant applications and co-authoring research papers aimed at deepening the understanding of resilient business models in emerging markets.

She is also leading the editorial responsibilities for the Tolyk Adam project, which documents the narratives of disabled entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan. Working closely with the NURCE team, Professor Rana mentors young researchers, shares her expertise, and helps build capacity for impactful research.

Her commitment to storytelling and inclusive business practices is inspiring the team and expanding the scope of NURCE’s work. Reflecting on her time in Astana, she expressed how connected she feels to the city, describing it as vibrant and the university as inspiring, with the NURCE team providing a strong sense of community.
